Say Nothing (2024)

One of the bestselling novels of the 2010s got the small screen treatment it deserved with the FX series Say Nothing in 2024. We're taken back to the early 70s when Northern Ireland was rocked by the militant group the Irish Republican Army. Their hardcore tactics involved disappearing people, and one of these victims was a single mother of ten Jean McConville (Judith Roddy), who hasn't been heard from since disappearing in the early 70s. Our window into this chaotic world is Dolours Price (Lola Petticrew), a daring young woman who puts it all on the line to advance the cause of the IRA. She goes so far as to set off a bomb, an act for which she is imprisoned. Josh Finan's character Gerry Adams is busted by the cops while sleeping naked. When he gets up we see as much as you can see without technically getting nudity. Irish he would take off his clothes!
