Étoile (2025)

On its surface, Étoile is a series about struggling ballet companies in New York and Paris that swap out their dancers in an attempt to boost interest and ticket sales. But anyone familiar with the work of series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino knows that this is redemption for her canceled 2012 show Bunheads, which also took on the world of dance! Palladino is best known as the creator of Gilmore Girls, and her signature fast-talking, pithy, whip-smart writing is also on display in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Palladino is also known for holding onto her best and tightest stars. While Luke Kirby didn't have a chance to show off the goods in Maisel, he gets naked in Étoile! Check out his bunhead as he gets out of bed after sex with Charlotte Gainsbourg. A series about ballet wouldn't be complete without a little gay action. Gideon Glick and Ivan du Pontavice are up for the challenge, but of the two, only Pontavice is game for flaunting his rock-hard dancer booty! Uh oh, I think I pirouette myself!
