Staff Picks: 90s Thrillers

Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: 90s thrillers!

The 90s were a sexy decade and they just don't make thrillers like they did back then. What I mean by that is that these thrillers gave us suspense while also serving us dudity. The nudity in these films is practically Criterion Collection level of classic. Here are my picks for 90s thrillers with hot nudity.

The Crush

Alicia Silverstone began her 90s career in movies like The Crush which exploited her innocent good looks. She plays a young teen who crushes on an older writer played by Cary Elwes. Cary is an adult man who lives an adult life, including crushing on his adult coworker. The teenager doesn't understand this and she lets her crushing obsession take over to violent outcomes. Before that occurs, we get to crush on Cary's can.

Basic Instinct

This 1992 crime thriller is famous for one very sexy scene. You know the scene: Sharon Stone flashes her nether region to the camera. Because of that show-stopping scene, people only think of Sharon Stone when they think of nudity in Basic Instinct. That is a shame because there is male nudity in the movie, too!

Michael Douglas proves that he is sex symbol material for his multiple ass-out scenes, including a shot of his shaft from afar as he gets on top of his lover in bed. And that ass! That ass riles up a Basic Instinct in me for sure.

Jacob's Ladder

The decade of thrillers began with 1990's trippy Adrian Lyne film, Jacob's Ladder. PTSD riddles a Vietnam War vet who struggles with reality while his life becomes a living nightmare. Well, his booty is a dream! You might want to climb Tim Robbins' ass like a ladder after seeing this!

Lost Highway

1997's Lost Highway is one of David Lynch's finest films and that is helped by the buns on Balthazar Getty. His sex scene heavily features his backlit backside as he gets on top and gives his lover some serious pleasure. Before that, the plot follows a former jazz musician who serves prison time for a murder that he did not commit. When he gets out, he tries to live another life.

If you're lost, just follow this scene to dudity.

The Talented Mr. Ripley

Finally, 1999 left us with The Talented Mr. Ripley which was a gay thriller that took place in Italy. It had everything: Matt Damon, Jude Law, gorgeous landscapes, cock and ass. Matt Damon dons a fake identity to fit in with Jude Law and his wealthy friends. He is enamored with their way of life and with Jude himself. Jude is slightly aware of this and he flirts with Matt now and then, just like in this bathtub chess scene:
