Basic Instinct (1992)

If you haven’t seen the neo noir classic Basic Instinct (1992), you must have been living under a rock. And once you do see it, you’ll be hard as a rock! For anyone who might have been in a coma for the whole of the ’90s and beyond, the erotic blockbuster follows Detective Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) as he returns to the streets of San Francisco. He’s a flatfoot hot on the trail of femme fatale Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone). She’s a cunning crime novelist and key suspect in an icepick murder case. Dangerously enamored of her lethal charms, Douglas does what any private dick would do. He bones Ms. Stone! As such, the skintastic stud reveals his pecs, rump and a hint of peen while giving his leading lady a rousing ride on screen. If that’s not sexy enough, Michael flashes his ass as his character bends Dr. Beth Garner (Jeanne Tripplehorn) over for some banging. Apparently, she makes house calls! The movie also includes Bruce A. Young, Denis Arndt, Dorothy Malone, George Dzundza, Stephen Tobolowsky, Wayne Knight, and former Playgirl model Bill Cable. The latter actor exposes his dink and derriere when in bed with a killer. Yes, he gets stabbed while having sex, but what a way to go! Throughout this thriller there are thrills via kinky copulating, lesbian tales, crazy car chases, and instincts which are anything but basic. Even so, Mr. Douglas was nominated for a Golden Raspberry. How unjust since he deserves a Golden Banana instead!
