Zandalee (1991)

The 1990s saw the rise of the members on audience members since the decade is known for its erotic thrillers. Yet before Basic Instinct (1992), Light Sleeper (1992), Body of Evidence (1993), Indecent Proposal (1993), Disclosure (1994), and Jade (1995) hit the big screen, Mr. Man was getting hot under the collar while watching Zandalee (1991). Inspired by Émile Zola’s novel “Thérèse Raquin” (1868) and same-named play from 1873, this updated romance follows Zandalee Martin (Erika Anderson) who lives in steamy New Orleans. The hottie is bored with her poet-turned-yuppie hubby (Judge Reinhold) so when his wild pal Johnny (Nicolas Cage) comes to town, Zandalee begins a seductive and dangerous affair with him. Johnny doesn’t just want her for pleasure; he’s got other things, like hate and revenge on his dirty little mind. In other words, there’s nothing easy in the Big Easy for these characters. Indeed, you could say their situation is hard. At least that’s how we feel while ogling Mr. Cage. If you think his long hair and goatee are sexy, get a load at his bare back and muscular rump during a hump at the 37-minute mark. Less than 20 minutes later, we can glance at his abs and ass as well as flashes of his shaft when he has sex. Is that a sock on Nick’s wick? Better re-watch and decide for yourself. Not to be outdone, Judge displays his naked T&A while pounding his gavel during another bedroom scene. Talk about rising to make a motion!
