Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: drinking movies!
Since it is St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to pay homage to what this day is really all about: drinking. This is a celebration of films about drinking! Beer, wine, cocktails, and general drunkenness are all central to the plots and characters of these films. Since the characters are mostly drunk in these films, they have a lack of judgment when it comes to keeping their clothes on. That works very well for us!

Eurotrip
This 2004 film takes a bunch of American youths to Europe where they get into one hilarious mishap after another. Inebriation has a lot to do with that! The three dudes try to meet hot and horny European girls, but they instead me sexy naked guys.
The guys accidentally go to a nude beach where they appear surprised to learn that it is filled with nude dudes. As they walk up to the beach, one of them asks about the etiquette of boners. Jacob Pitts, Scott Mechlowicz, and Travis Wester discuss the possibility of boners...but then they see nothing but dudes! This Euro sausage fest would definitely spur some boners:
Sideways
This 2004 road trip movie through Napa Valley caused a huge spike of interest in wine. Merlot was flying off the shelves because of Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church who go on a wine tasting road trip. Paul's character LOVES wines and he savors every sip that he takes during this gorgeously filmed trip. Thomas on the other hand wants to bang babes! That is when we see his ass.
There IS a big dick in the movie. M.C. Gainey runs naked after our leading men after Thomas' character was caught in bed with the man's wife. Whoops! They're gonna need a drink after that.
The Hangover
This is THE ultimate bachelor party movie. A group of old friends wake up in Las Vegas after a night that they can't remember, so they try to retrace their footsteps to figure out exactly what it is that they have to leave in Vegas. The groomsmen are played by goofy and lovable Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Bradley Cooper. Zach goes pantsless a couple of times as does Ken Jeong who also shows the camera a prosthetic penis.
Another Round
This Academy Award-nominated film for Best Foreign Lanaguage Feature is a very unique and engaging dramedy about four old friends who have settled into mundane lives as high school teachers who don't take too many risks in their lives. One of them finds out about a study claiming that you can enhance overall performance if your alcohol level is at 0.05 - just below the legal limit. The guys experiment with this and it works at first, but it gets out of hand. They never go nude, but this movie is too good not to include here. Plus, Lars Ranthe gets down to his undies and Mads Mikkelsen takes a shower.
