Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover one of the best kinds of films to watch during the upcoming Spooky Season: Italian Horror.
Giallo is the word often used to describe Italian horror. It features classic horror and mystery elements infused with a ton of gore and a touch of sex. Mama mia! Directors of Giallo included Dario Argento, Mario Bava, Lucio Fulci, and many more.

Play Motel
It's a sex motel and it's Italian - what more can you want? A reporter and his girlfriend investigate a sexy motel where a series of murders are believed to have taken place. This X-rated film does not have nearly as much nudity as one might hope, but Enzo Fisichella bangs a nun and has a close-up ballplay scene. Oh, that must be the "play" in Play Motel.
Who Saw Her Die?
This Aldo Lado film from 1972 follows the story of a daughter of famous artists who gets murdered while traveling in France. She is one of many victims of a killer on the loose! This film follows the parents investigating their daughter's death on their own. While they are in the midst of their investigation, we see 70s dudity. Peter Chatel gets his pants unbuckled and his ass is shown. Now the question that I have is: who saw her dick?
The Sister of Ursula
Let the sexy retro horror begin with this wild story of sisters in a seaside town searching for their mother after their father passes away. While they are searching, they stumble across another finding: a psycho killer on the loose. His weapon of choice? A big dildo. I told you this one is wild.
Roberto De Ruggeriis is a hottie Italian twink with hairy pubes that we get to see in his nude scene. We see his cock and his bush in a sex scene that gets murderous. Is he the killer? Well, he's killing this nude scene!
Dorian Gray
The Portrait of Dorian Gray is a classic Oscar Wilde novel that has had many adaptations, but this Italian horror thriller is probably my favorite. Why? It is lusciously filmed and it stars Helmut Berger in all of his beautiful nude splendor. This film is not nearly as bloody as the others, but the nudity is so lovingly filmed that I could not help but include it. Just look at Berger's buns:
Malabimba: The Malicious Whore
With a title like "the malicious whore", you can imagine what kind of film this is. This wild Giallo film follows a rich family whose matriarch passes on suddenly. They decide to have a seance to contact her, but they wind up summoning a sexually crazed dead cousin instead of their beloved mama. Whoops!
Now that their cousin is back, her hedonistic ways possess the daughter and all hell breaks loose. The demonic possession gives way to nudity from Enzo Fisichella who is back and more naked than ever. He has a steamy shower scene that shows his sudsy bum and his thick Italian sausage.
