Irish wit Oscar Wilde described the title character of his novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray” (1891) as an archetype of male youth and beauty. No wonder the part was played by Ben Barnes in Dorian Gray (2009); Shane Briant in The Picture of Dorian Gray (1973); Reeve Carney in Penny Dreadful (2014-2016); Josh Duhamel in The Picture of Dorian Gray (2004); Stuart Townsend in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003); and Hurd Hatfield in The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945). Of course, Mr. Man is partial to the provocative portrayal by Helmut Berger in Dorian Gray (1970). Also known as The God called Dorian, The Sins of Dorian Gray, The Secret of Dorian Gray and Il dio chiamato Dorian, this skinternational flick focuses on a young man who is gorgeous on the outside yet has a hideous portrait that reflects his soul. Luckily for us, Massimo Dallamano’s sexploitation movie spends a lot of time covering Helmut’s fine physique. The blonde babe touts his big bulge while wearing a teeny Speedo that shows off some pubes coming out from the top. If that’s not arousing enough, the lovely leading man struts his stuff in the buff throughout the pic. Whether swimming underwater or lounging around in a sauna, the nude dude isn’t too shy to flash his abs, ass, and shaft! Needless to say, whenever Mr. Berger is on screen, he makes things steamy. We don’t care if the painting of him is ugly as sin — we love looking at Helmut’s skin!
