Quadrophenia (1979)

Quadrophenia (1979) is a mindset and working class Jimmy (Phil Daniels) has a lot on his mind.  It’s 1965 in London and Jimmy hates his life, hates his job, and is misunderstood by his parents.  The only time he feels right is when he’s with his “mod” friends like Kevin (Ray Winstone), popping pills listening to cool music and riding his scooter.  On a big scooter run, the Mods clash with their mortal enemies the Rockers and Jimmy begins to spiral out of control.  Times really don’t change do they?

Daniels and Winstone waste no time showing off their goods. In an early scene, both guys are in a public bath house.  At first they’re in separate tubs arguing with each other.  The water is a little bubbly, but not enough to obscure the skintacular sight of their bobbing manberries and fun sticks.  When Daniels decides he needs to join Winstone for a closer debate, his wet bottom comes up for air and makes us hold our breath. Rock on!
