Staff Picks: Latino Horror

Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: Latino horror!

It's the final week of Latinx Heritage Month and it's Halloween, so it's only right that I do a Staff Picks highlight on Latino Horror. These horror films come from all over South and Central America.

The Devil's Backbone

Guillermo Del Toro is one of the most respected directors in the world point blank period. Luckily, the Mexican director loves horror - and hot men. He showed both off in his terrifying ghost story The Devil's Backbone which starred Eduardo Noriega.

In one scene, he checks himself out in the mirror and gets naked on top of a woman. He doesn't show us what's below his happy trail, but his hot body teasing us is too sexy for me to ignore. This film was my introduction to Del Toro and this sexy scene was quite the introduction.

Presagio

A writer who is grieving the loss of his family is under pressure to finish his latest book by a mysterious man holding an umbrella. Who is the umbrella man? The answer may frighten you, but our writer is played by Javier Solis whose longjohn we see between his legs when he stands naked in the ocean with his back to the camera. Muy caliente!

The Untamed

This is one scary creature feature! This Mexican horror revolves around an alien creature whose presence drastically changes the lives and relationships of our main characters which include a deeply closeted young man played by Jesus Meza. He has sex with Eden Villavicencio in one scene that gives us a penis closeup and a closeup of an ass. We don't see penetration, but it feels like we see everything else. Their desire for each other just cannot be tamed!

Luciferina

In Argentina's Luciferina, a woman goes to the jungle to find legendary healing powers after her father gets sick. Instead, she finds the devil. What do you do when you find the devil? You have sex with him! That's what she does when she has sex with Pedro Merlo who is our devil in disguise. That ass is definitely not in disguise!

Terrified

The title of this Argentinian film is appropriate because it tells you exactly how you will feel when you are done with the film: terrified. This is a terrifying film! Demian Rugna directed this flick that takes us to a Buenos Aires neighborhood that is rife with paranormal problems. One such issue is a weird haunt known as The Pale Man. The Pale Man is played by Bruno Giacobbe who shows us his pale ass in one found footage scene. If only he'd show his Giacob aka his Pale Man Penis!
