The Gifted is a series in which mutated humans are feared by other people, so a special institute attempts to bring peace and co-existence between mutants and non-mutants around the world. Sounds like an X-Men ripoff, right? Well actually, this 2017 debuting show takes place in another "stream" of the X-Men universe where most of the X-Men you've heard of were wiped off the face of the Earth, but tons of less famous mutants survived. Yes, it's a bit confusing. Essentially, Stephen Moyer plays Reed Strucker, a well-known District Attorney who has been instrumental in tracking down and locking up mutants. The problem is, one day his son Andy (Percy Hynes White) is getting badly bullied in high school and out of nowhere unveils he is a mutant with telepathic powers, only for Reed's perfect daughter Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) to spill the beans that she can make forcefields with the wind soon after. Suddenly, Reed has to round up his kids and go on the run from the very people he worked side by side with for decades. Along the way, they'll meet Magneto's daughter Polaris (Emma Dumont), the Apache superhero Thunderbird (Blair Redford), and the teleporting mutant Blink (Jamie Chung), as they dive deep into the mutant underground to stay safe. But not every mutant is excited to help a man who made it his life mission to put them behind bars. With a pilot directed by Bryan Singer and Rogue herself, Anna Paquin's husband in the starring role, this one had a lot of interesting paths it could have gone down. Unfortunately, while Legion got to go out on its own terms, low ratings doomed The Gifted to just two seasons of television. But that doesn't mean it didn't gift us with some sexy stuff along the way. As Eclipse, the mutant from Mexico who smuggles everyone he can to safety, Sean Teale might have mutant abilities, but his real superpower is what his rockhard abs do to us. We get to admire his toned chest when he wakes up shirtless in bed, and you don't have to be a mindreader to know what we're thinking about! Blair Redford matches him ab for ab as a doctor patches him up, but he adds the allure of some long, black hair! We bet that Thunderbird could make our cheeks thunderclap! But the one with the obliques that will give you the big O is William Mark McCullough, who we get to see sweaty and shirtless while a doctor checks him out. Those dudes did some lifting before the gifting! There might not be a Professor X but there's still plenty of dudes with bodies built for sex in the world of The Gifted!
