The trailer for Luca Guadagnino's hot new movie was released today and the internet is going wild. Challengers - which does not come out in theaters until September 16 - is promising to be a very sexy time. It has everything: tennis, romance, sex, betrayal, and a love triangle between three of today's hottest stars. Zendaya is going to volley back and forth between hotties Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor and that is extremely exciting to me.
The film starts when Zendaya is a young tennis star named Tashi. She gets the interest of two tennis boys who are best friends. The teen boys lust over Zendaya and, as the trailer suggests, have a hotel threesome with her. That sounds VERY promising to fans of both men!
Zendaya's character gets injured at one point and then we catch up with her years later when she is married to one of the men. She coaches him and he becomes a world-class star. They meet up with the other guy years later in a tennis match in which her hubby has to prove that he is the better man in every single way. Whether it is to prove who is the better tennis player or lover, Faist and O'Connor have a tense battle throughout the film!
I obviously love the very idea of them having a threesome. I hope that their tension turns into full-blown love by the end of this drama and that the boys ditch Zendaya in order to play with each other's balls for eternity. That is probably wishful thinking, but with Guadagnino one never knows. The man obviously loves romance - especially gay romance.
Let's not forget that Luca Guadagnino brought the world Call Me By Your Name, a gorgeously shot romance that flung Timothee Chalamet into all of our hearts and spank banks. Peaches have simply never tasted the same since.
Now, let's talk about the stars of Challengers. Mike Faist had my jaw dropped when he debuted in West Side Story. He was effortless as Riff! He then went shirtless in Panic and the sight of his bare chest nearly sent me into one. He is toned for the gods in this sexy scene! I guess that's what dancing to Sondheim does to a body.
And Josh O'Connor? Well, that British babe has had us lusting over him ever since he got gay in God's Own Country. His outdoor gay scenes showed us ass, cock, and wool sweaters for days.
You can see why I might think Josh will go for it again. Mike is hot, Luca loves gay shit, and these boys clearly have a very close relationship in the trailer alone. What more is there to show us? We will all find out together in September.
