The truth is out there, and the truth is that Fox's The X-Files is one of the most iconic, impactful and successful sci-fi shows of all time. Running for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002 with a couple of movies and reboots thrown in over the last few years, the show dealt with two FBI agents: Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) who investigated cases that had strange, supernatural, and otherworldly explanations. Known as "The X-Files" these cases were especially interesting to Mulder, since he witnessed his sister (Megan Leitch) get abducted by a UFO when he was a kid. Needless to say, Mulder is a hardcore believer in anything supernatural, while the MD Dana Scully is the skeptical scientist convinced there's a rational explanation to everything. Mixing "monster of the week" stuff with a larger mythology centered around the government's attempts to coverup aliens who have been looking to colonize earth since the 1940's, the show was a massive hit that got parodied all over the place. While all the 90's nerds were lusting after our FB-eye candy, since this was a regular network series, there wasn't much nudity to speak of, sadly. Although, on the first season episode "Tooms," we did get to see a bit of butt as well as some sensational shirtlessness from Doug Hutchison as he emerges from a cocoon to chase Mulder! Sure, his private life got weird when he married that sixteen-year-old girl and became tabloid fodder, but back in the 90's we were getting the good kind of weird from Doug. Like, he's a hibernating serial killer who cocoons himself. But he's got a great ass! Xoran Vukelic is a gorgeous, long haired glam metal looking man posing for an art class totally nude, although his thighs keep the best parts from our eyes. David Duchovny himself looks pretty dang sexy when swimming in a pair of Speedos, while in the reboot we get a shot of a lizard man version of funnyman Rhys Darby in whitey tighties, as well as while fantasizing about having some sexy time with Scully. It's not exactly X-rated stuff, but it's still pretty good! The truth is out there, and the truth is that The X-Files is still a pretty sexy show!
