We adore the flamboyant and fierce Brian Firkus as both an actor and drag performer. Never a drag, always a queen, Brian often performs under the stage name Trixie Mattel. Why Trixie? It's a huge fuck you to an abusive stepdad who called him "Trixie" when he wasn't acting macho enough for the man's liking back in Wisconsin. Mattel comes from the toy brand who makes Barbie, which Brian cites as an inspiration for his character. Escaping that torment as a teen, Brian moved in with his grandpa, who taught him how to play the guitar. A high level musician as well as actor, Brian studied at UW Madison's Peck School of the Arts where he found that drag work really pleased his pecker. Suddenly, a star was born. Brian really became well known after he competed in RuPaul's Drag Race back in 2015. In one episode he is totally shirtless and out-of-costume in full eye makeup as he stands in his tight boxers to give us a bit of bulge. Yeah, you know what we were eyin, Brian! Although he lost, Brian took home the title just a few years later, as part of Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars. Since then, Trixie's been podcasting alongside Katya Zamo, as well as hosting the TV show The Pit Stop and acting as a judge on Queen of the Universe, but Trixie's been doing some acting work as well. She was in Gay of Thrones (2016), American Horror Story, and even did some prank calling on Crank Yankers. Talk dirty to us as Trixie and we'll be crank, yank and wankers. We're glad Brian Firkus found his calling in life after such a tough beginning. Whether as Trixie or as himself, we'd be happy to let Brian Firkus firk us.
