The hotly anticipated erotic drama Passages finally hits theaters this weekend! No streaming date is set for this flick, so if you want to check out the best that stars Ben Whishaw and Franz Rogowski have to offer under their clothes from the comfort and privacy of your own home, then you're in luck. Both actors have fantastic nudity, and we're checking out their highlights right here.
But first, what is Passages about and why is everyone talking about it? Passages comes from acclaimed director Ira Sachs, who stated in an interview “I wanted to make a horny film." We're not kidding about that. And neither was he, as the film was slapped with an NC-17 from the MPAA. More on that in a second.
Passages is about a gay couple, Tomas (Franz Rogowski) and Martin (Ben Whishaw), whose relationship is put to the test when the non-better half - the egotistical Tomas - strikes up an affair with a woman Agathe (Blue Is The Warmest Color actress Adèle Exarchopoulos). Things evolve into a love triangle featuring tons of steamy sex!
Sachs makes the case that the NC-17 rating was handed out due to the flick's gay scenes, and is accusing the MPAA of homophobia. So, he rejected the rating and is releasing the movie as unrated. We don't condone gay censorship (I mean, look at us) but the silver lining is that the controversy surrounding Passages' NC-17 rating is creating quite a bit of buzz online. We are certainly dying to see this one!
