Frontalwatte (2011)

German director Jakob Lass’ first feature length effort as a film director, Frontalwatte (2011) follows the lives and times of young people Franz (Franz Rogowski), Adrian (Simon Finkas), and Anastasia (Paula Schramm). The three are constantly trying to discover who they really are as people, which can be tough when you are constantly altering yourself in order to adapt to situations, as they quickly discover. Poetry slams and incest are also involved at points, but that’s how things go in Germany. Anyway, our pal Franz has to use the bathroom at one point, and after taking a leak with his back to the camera, he ever so kindly turns around and goes full Frontalwatte, turning around toward the camera with his large member still hanging out. No matter what personal struggles Franz runs into in his life, he’ll always have his best friend hanging between his legs. Talk about a German sausage!
