In Benjamin Chimoy's twenty-two-minute short film Gabriel (2014), the titular character (Jakob Renger) is a thirty-two-year-old Spanish man who has taken off to Germany to shack up with his boyfriend Lars (Florian Anderer), far away from the judgmental gaze of his conservative family. It's been a long time since any remnant of his past has seen him, though he often thinks back to his childhood and the various realizations he had that first tipped him off that he wasn't straight. But that's all about to change. With an expected visitation from his mother (Eva María Milara) looming on the horizon, Gabriel gets lost in a series of daydreams and poignant reminisces that focuses on his often-troubled relationship with his mom. Needless to say, things weren't so great for young Gabriel (Diego Caballero), who had to hide his lusting and pretend to be straight. Now living as his true self, it's going to be a rough weekend for an incredibly nervous Gabriel and Lars as they struggle to prepare for what could be a very contentious meeting. At least he can have a blast with his boyfriend before that blast from the past ruins it. In a film that clocks in just over the twenty-minute mark, Jakob Renger makes the most of the moment by showing off his schlong while traipsing through the locker room. Jakob very casually goes full frontal as he slips his towel off after a workout and wanders around the locker room for anyone to see, then shows even more during a steamy shower scene with the completely nude Florian Anderer. You won’t last more than five minutes after watching these fantastically fit fellows fornicate! This one truly puts the gay in Gabriel!
