Aku Hirviniemi was born Aku-Heikki Ilmari Hirviniemi, so you can understand why he'd want to simplify that. Aku is from Finland, where he's been making his fellow Finns keel over in hysterics for years, especially with his sketch comedy. He's got a striking face that you simply can't forget once you see it, and a body that it's not fair for a funny guy to be working with. Most of his work has been in his native Finland, so he's sort of an unknown commodity in the States, but you can get ahead of the curve and proudly declare that you were on his bandwagon long before everyone else hops on. Aku made his screen debut in The Life of Aleksis Kivi (2001), but his career really found his footing as the chaffeur we'd want to spend sometime in the backseat with, Ilu Airisto on Presidentin kanslia. The sketch comedy show Putous, made Aku a monster star, thanks to his run on the first four season of the show, and his recurring character Marja Tyrni, a sort of Sally Jessy Raphael looking woman who sings all sorts of zany songs. Aku's sexiest role to date came on the Finnish cop drama Roba, which Aku appeared in four episodes of, back in 2012. On one episode, Aku led the charge of a gaggle of naked men, all of whom come running out of a house, then engage in some naked wrestling! Aku shows off his stuff along with everyone else, making this one of the more auspicious nude debuts of all time! Aku moved on to play Nippe Lavonen in the colossal hit comedy Reunion (2015) and the sequels, then returned to sketch comedy on the Finnish version of Saturday Night Live. Most recently he was in the Finnish pop star bipoc Kikka! (2022). We doubt Hirviniemi is playing her enemy, he's probably playing her lover. After all, Aku sure is a-cutie!
