Ángela (2024)

The 2024 Netflix series Ángela is based on the 2021 British series Angela Black, and the Spanish version stars Verónica Sánchez as the titular Ángela—a career woman turned stay-at-home mom to two daughters and doting wife. Ángela and her girls are dependent on her hubby Gonzalo (Daniel Grao), who just so happens to be a capital D douchebag who manipulates and psychologically tortures his wife. Things look up for Ángela when a man claiming to be a high school friend shows up out of the blue. His name is Edu (Jaime Zatarain), and he's cute and all, but it turns out that he's simply using our girl to get to Gonzalo, which may be fine by Ángela, considering her miserable relationship with her husband. Or, maybe Edu will destroy her life as well. We'll never tell! There's no nudity here, but Jaime does showcase his nice, hairy chest with his shirt open at the beach! Heaven must be missing an Ángela!
