Despite sharing a last name, mother country and striking resemblance, British babe Ben Chaplin is not related to silent film star Charlie Chaplin. Yet that doesn’t lessen Ben’s impact on the silver screen. After enrolling in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the ambitious ingenue made his boob tube debut on an episode of the medical show Casualty (1990). But Ben really raised our pulse (among other things) when he scored the male leads in the rom-com The Truth About Cats & Dogs (1996) and the period piece Washington Square (1997). Roles in Terrence Malick’s war epic The Thin Red Line (1998) and Janusz Kamiński’s horror film Lost Souls (2000) followed. Next came a topless turn in the erotic comedy Birthday Girl (2001) featuring Nicole Kidman, Vincent Cassel, and Ben’s bulging briefs! As George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham, the skintastic actor revealed his chest and same-sex preference for Billy Crudup in the historic romance Stage Beauty (2004). More man-on-man (or rather, Ben-on-Ben) smooching could be seen between Ben C. and Ben Barnes in the R-rated Dorian Gray (2009). Through the years, the hardworking hottie sizzled on film (The Remains of the Day, Cinderella, The Legend of Tarzan) and on TV (Game On, World Without End, The Nevers). Of course, we’re mad about Ben’s shirtless part on the Amazon series Mad Dogs (2015-2016) since it showcases his chocolate brown eyes and peak dad bod. One glance at Chaplin’s chest with salt and pepper fuzz gives us a bone. Woof!
