Berlin Alexanderplatz (2020)

Berlin Alexanderplatz is based on Alfred Döblin's acclaimed 1929 novel of the same name. Both stories explore what it's like for a man in peril and without friends in high places to try and survive in Berlin. The 2020 movie Berlin Alexanderplatz follows the journey of a young African man named Francis, played by Welket Bungué. Francis' dreams of making it in a new city fade away as the reality of his situation settles in: He is undocumented, without a support network, and in need of money. What's a gurl to do?
