Caravaggio's Shadow (2022)

The French/Italian co-production Caravaggio's Shadow (2022) tells the story of renowned 17th century artist Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (Riccardo Scamarcio) and the controversy surrounding his final years. Seeking refuge in Naples with his wealthy benefactor Marquise Costanza Colonna (Isabelle Huppert), Caravaggio soon finds himself at the center of an investigation ordered by the Pope. Louis Garrel plays Ombra, a fictional investigator sent to determine whether his transgressive works of art actually tip over into heresy, as well as his potential involvement with longtime paramour Anna Bianchini (Lolita Chammah), who was found dead and pregnant with a child presumed to be Carravagio's. The sexy Riccardo Scamarcio throws himself fully into the role and even goes ass out for a brief straight sex scene with Huppert and allows us to be the first to tell you... that ass is a work of art all its own!
