From his on-camera premiere in a one-shot appearance onLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit,D.J. Cotronahas been building up to something super. Literally—as he scored the role of “Super Hero Pedro” in the flickShazam!(2019), and its sequel,Shazam! Fury of the Gods(2022). In between all that caped crusader activity, D.J. (Donald Joseph) worked his way from New Haven, Connecticut, to Hollywood, starting with his first regular role as Adam Roam in the short-lived seriesSkinfrom 2003-2005, playing alongside Olivia Wilde in one of her first series roles. After that, it was Sean inWindfallin 2006, and Detective John Stone inDetroit 1-8-7from 2010-2011. InFrom Dusk to Till Dawn: The Series, he took over for George Clooney, playing Seth Gecko. He also took off his shirt, revealing a body much more cut than George has ever even thought to be (with no shame directed toward Mr. Clooney, of course—he has other admirable qualities). On the little screen, you’ll also find D.J. in the role of Luca Verona in the seriesL.A.’s Finestin 2020, a series name that could have been created with this stud in mind. As for the big screen, check him out as Lucas Mitchell inLove Is the Drug(2006) with Darryl Hannah, playing Noodles inDear John(2010) with Channing Tatum, and Flint inG.I. Joe: Retaliationwith Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and again, with Channing. It’s possible that in addition to being superhero material, D.J. is also one of a few hot guys who can hold his own on a screen with Magic Mike.
