One of the founding members of the groundbreaking sketch comedy troupe Monty Python, Eric Idle is one of the most versatile and ubiquitous presences in comedy in the second half of the 20th century. Since Python officially disbanded after The Meaning of Life (1983), Idle has popped everywhere from National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985) and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) to Casper (1995) and Shrek the Third (2007)! He also co-created the beloved Beatles spoof group The Rutles, was the mastermind behind the smash Broadway musical Spamalot, and he's been on The Simpsons three different times!
