Arguably the best of the Bond flicks with Sean Connery in the role, From Russia with Love (1963) was the second big screen outing for the super spy and the first where a lot of the key elements that would come to define the franchise first turn up. These include the cold open action sequence, a theme song complete with elaborate opening titles, a helicopter chase, and it also marks the first official appearance of the first appearance of Desmond Llewellyn's Q, crazy gadgets, and frequent series nemesis Blofeld—referred to as SPECTRE No. 1. It's also Connery at his most dashing in the role of James Bond, MI6 Agent 007 on Her Majesty's Secret Service, now on the radar of the aforementioned villainous criminal organization SPECTRE after killing Dr. No in his silver screen debut the year prior. Future Jaws (1975) star Robert Shaw co-stars as Donald "Red" Grant, an Irish assassin working for SPECTRE and tasked with killing Bond. The two have an absolutely astonishing fight aboard the famed Orient Express train that serves as the centerpiece action sequence of Act II, a scene that has passed into Bond lore as one of the all-time great scenes in the franchise! Sean Connery, of course, is in peak physical condition here, showing off his furry chest in two different sexy romps with two different ladies! Robert Shaw, meanwhile, sporting a bleach blonde 'do is all greased up and shirtless for an inspection by Lotte Lenya's henchwoman Rosa Klebb just 13 minutes in! The shirtless studs of From Russia with Love will have you Russian to get some lotion!
