As a former Andy Warhol superstar, Holly Woodlawn aka Harold Ajzenberg enjoyed his fair share of fame, especially thanks to Lou Reed’s indelible shout-out in his hit song “Take a Walk on the Wild Side.” In a clear case of life imitating art, or art imitating life, it seems as though Holly spent much of his life on the wild side. At least in the movies, Holly was always ready to get in touch with his naughty side, as was the case in his movie debut in the infamous film Trash (1970). It was quite a debut that was erotically punctuated by a penis-flashing scene of hedonistic fun. We got another treatment of skin from Holly in the 1971 artsy drama Women in Revolt. It’s too bad that the lanky actor didn’t continue to revolt against his clothes, but he still looked intriguingly hot in the films Night Owl (1993), Twin Falls Idaho (1999), and East of the Tar Pits (2012).
