Review

In addition to being a product of Andy Warhol’s Factory, Paul Morrissey is the writer and director of Trash (1970). Not to be confused with the humorous horror flick Trash Fire (2016), this loosely scripted adult film features real life street hustler Joe Dallesandro as Joe Smith, a junkie who is too strung out to get it up. Of course, that doesn’t stop him from spending most of the movie in the buff. Check out his bare back, ass, abs, sack and shaft! In his mission to score some dope, the impotent hunk tries to trick a welfare worker (Michael Sklar) into green-lighting methadone treatments by having his sexually frustrated partner (Holly Woodlawn) pretend to be pregnant. But since Holly is trans, there’s no bun in the oven. However, you may have a baguette in your pants when you see Holly’s heinie on screen. As a guy from Yonkers, Johnny Putnam will make you a yanker when he reveals his rump and rink during a drug-induced moment at the film’s 42-minute mark. The artsy porno also includes Andrea Feldman, Bruce Pecheur, Diane Podlewski, Geri Miller, and Jane Forth. Too bad, Sissy Spacek’s uncredited cameo wound up on the editing room floor. Michelangelo supposedly said, “When looking at a slab of marble, simply chisel away the rock to reveal the art beneath.” The same can be said of Mr. Morrissey in regards to removing the clothes on Mr. Dallesandro and Mr. Putnam since their masterpiece of asses can make you hard as stone!
