The brutal realities of low-income hardships come to life in the sobering Inferno (2014). Mare (Marko Mandic) is a father whose tough hand at life is felt by his wife and kids. At the beginning of the movie the family is already living in almost unimaginably bleak conditions, including the need to scour a cemetery for candles. Huddled under blankets for warmth and too familiar with hunger, the working class family feels the weight of inequality. Throughout Inferno the family hardships increase as a tidal wave of misfortune drowns them in sorrow.
