Jeremy Davies is a movie and television vet with a three-decade spanning career that began in 1992, when he appeared on two episodes of The Wonder Years and made an appearance in Melrose Place. But it was a Subaru commercial of all things that garnered the young Davies industry attention. Then came a critically revered performance in David O. Russell's directing debut Spanking the Monkey (1994), where he played Raymond "Ray" Aibelli who is forced to take care of his ailing overbearing mother in a relationship that becomes too close for comfort. The film won Sundance's Audience award and earned Jeremy and Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance. The accolades continued with Davies' portrayal of Tom Hanks' interpreter, Private Upham in Steven Speildberg's Academy Award winning Saving Private Ryan (1998). The prestige pictures kept coming for Jeremy, from Steven Soderbergh's Solaris (2002), to Lars Von Trier's Dogville (2003). His TV work has been equally substantial, playing Daniel Farady on J.J. Abrams' surreal juggernaut Lost and Dickie Bennett in FX's Justified, which won him an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. But it's in Texas Rising where we get to know Jeremy as Ephraim Knowles, and the actor shows off his lean shirtless physique in Episode 3, Blood for Blood. Too bad Davies' impressive resume doesn't involve more skin.
