Texas Rising (2015)

Starting immediately after the Battle of the Alamo and following Texas’s wild history through the formation of the Texas Rangers, Texas Rising (2015) is a mini-series that is based mostly on historical fact but does have some fictional characters in it to help liven up the story. The star of the show is Sam Houston (Bill Paxton), the legendary General leading the Texas Revolution to break away from Mexican control. He's trying to rally up some ragtag lawmen who will eventually become Texas Rangers to help him fight but keeps getting sidetracked by Native American raids against any forces he musters up. Eventually, he'll deal with the Comanche raiders, beat the Mexicans and capture Santa Anna (Olivier Martinez), in large part because the sexuality of Emily West (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) will have the Mexican military man so distracted. Yes, Mexico forever lost the Lone Star State because Santa Anna wanted to bone his secret spy roommate. This one had a wildly stacked cast that also featured Kris Kristofferson as Andrew Jackson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Deaf Smith, Brendan Fraser as Texas Ranger Billy Anderson, and Ray Liotta as Tom Mitchell. And a few of these A-listers even showed some skin! Among the eye candy is Bill Paxton who plays the part of Sam Houston and finds himself shirtless while being checked out by a doctor. Houston, we have a boner! The scene goes on for a while letting us drink in Bill’s fine frame. A little later and we'll get some of Paxton's plump behind, when he strips down and covers himself in mud to hide in the woods. Jeffrey Dean Morgan lost all sorts of weight for the role, which might explain why his boxer shorts slip off his waste and give some crack, but only a taste! Not to be outdone, Robert Baker and Max Thieriot get in on the shirtless fun when they take a swim then cook some dinner over an open fire. Both guys are fit and fine and look great sans shirt. Their campfire won’t be the only thing getting hot as these two relax shirtless and cook up some supper. The eyes of Texas are upon those abs! Ray Liotta looks wild with his crazy unkempt bears as he sits around in his undies, while there's a giant group shower scene with Rhys Coiro, Jeremy Davies, Trevor Donovan and Stephen Monroe Taylor, although none of them show more than their chests. Still, you bet it rose watching that one! You'll make a mess of your shorts while learning why we don't mess with Texas watching Texas Rising!
