Born July 15, 1971, Jim Rash is an award-winning screenwriter, actor, and producer most notable for his role as Dean Pelton on the sitcom Community. Raised in Charleston, NC, Jim, and his sister were both adopted. He's a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jim's a company member of The Groundlings improv and sketch troupe in Los Angeles. His first television role was a production assistant on an episode of Cybil. His acting credits include appearances in the films Sky High (2005) and Balls of Fury (2007), and over 20 years of minor spots on TV including the series finale of Friends. Jim and his comedy partner, actor Nat Faxon, have written several TV pilots and movie screenplays including The Way, Way Back (2013) and their award-winning film The Descendants (2011). The Community episode Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television features a scene where Rash is only in his underwear. Most recently you can see Jim getting skin-ful in the flick Lazy Susan (2020). Thirty-six minutes into the movie, Jim shows a little butt while having some missionary sex with Sean Hayes.
