They say hindsight is 20/20, and Mr. Man gives John Patrick Amedori a 20 out of 20 for his cute shaggy hair and silky smooth torso. You can see both of these charming attributes in an episode of the series Hindsight(ahhh, yes, that’s where the reference comes from), where JP (Mr. Man gave him a nickname!) played the character Jamie Brady in 2015. The Maryland born boy started his acting career long before that, though. Hold the phone! Mr. Man just realized this hottie is the guy who played Poot in Stick It (2006), the film that brought you “It’s not called gym-nice-tics.” Favorite line: When Joanne asks JP’s Poot to call her, he responds “Stalk you.” (Said all innocent and cute, not creepy and weird.) Okay. Done gushing now. (But he was just so cute in that movie!) Baltimore native John Paul has racked up tons of credits to his name since his first real acting gig, playing a hostage in M. Nigh Shyamalan’s Unbreakable (2000) with Bruce Willis, when JP was only 13. He played the younger version of Ashton’s Kutcher’s Evan in The Butterfly Effect (2004), a lollipop hipster in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010), Mickey Caldwell in the Billy Bob Thornton-directed Jayne Mansfield’s Car (2012) with Tippi Hedren and Kevin Bacon, and Agent Mitchell in The Last Stand (2013) with Arnold Schwarzenegger. On TV, you’ll find him in a number of guest-starring roles, with recurring or regular gigs as Max Collins in Vanished in 2006, Aaron Rose in Gossip Girl in 2008, Dash in The Good Doctor from 2018-2020, and, perhaps his longest-running role, playing Gabe Mitchell in Dear White People from 2017-2021.
