Killer Heat (2024)

Acclaimed Ivorian film director Philippe Lacôte brings us his first English language film, the sun-drenched star-studded thriller Killer Heat (2024)! Based on a Jo Nesbø short story called "The Jealousy Man," the film stars Richard Madden stars as twin brothers Leo and Elias Vardakis who are fighting over Leo's wife Penelope (Shailene Woodley). When Leo turns up dead, private investigator Nick Bali (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is called in to get to the bottom of the case, but the whole thing strikes a little close to home for the expat now living in Athens. In this sun-drenched thriller, everyone's a suspect, everyone has a motive, and nothing is as it seems! 36 minutes in, Richard Madden goes shirtless to bang Shailene Woodley in bed, but sadly doesn't show us anything south of the border.
