Biography

Malcolm Ingram is a Canadian independent film director and podcaster, so it's really not surprising to find out he's a friend of fellow podcaster (or Smodcaster) and Candian enthusiast Kevin Smith. In 2007, Ingram graced the cover of gay publication A Bear's Life alongside Mr. Smith, who unveiled the magazine on The Late Show with David Letterman. Malcolm, who has a bit of a resemblance to his buddy, returned the favor by playing the honorary role of "Fat Guy Dancing in Bathroom" in the long-awaited sequel to Smith's groundbreaking indie Clerks. Ingram's ass peeks out between his ill-fitting pants and jersey as he hunches over a toilet. Clearly he's not afraid to be the butt of a joke, but as a filmmaker he's made more some more substantial contributions to queer cinema, including documentaries Small Town Gay Bar (2006), Continental (2013) about the legendary gay baths of New York City, and Out to Win (2015) which chronicles the struggles and triumphs of gay athletes. He also directed and penned the Jason Lee Sasquatch comedy, Drawing Flies (1996) as well as the road trip adventure Tail Lights Fade (1999), starring Denise Richards and Breckin Meyer
