Margaux (2022)

A VOD release that neatly fits into the “killer A.I”. genre, this 2022 horror film centers on a group of college friends who book a fancy vacation at fancy, high tech smart house. Their awe at the wall of virtual selfies and bartending robot tentacles soon turns to dread when the house goes on a murderous rampage and tries to take out the Gen Z-ers one by one, while landing a few biting quips. Within the self-proclaimed “Nerd Herd” are a kinky couple who are terrorized but their tailor-made sex den. The timing is unfortunate, but we can’t help but appreciate hottie Jordan Buhat’s penchant for being tied up. We also get to see 3D printed versions of him and Richard Harmon’s stoner Clay locking lips. Aside from all the killing, isn't technology great?
