Canadian filmmakers Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, and Galen Johnson poke a lot of fun at the small-minded men and women running the world in Rumours (2024)! The leaders of seven world democracies—including the German Chancellor (Cate Blanchett), American President (Charles Dance), Canadian Prime Minister (Roy Dupuis), and the President of France (Denis Ménochet)—have gathered for the G7 where they will work together to craft a statement on a never clarified or defined global crisis. However, the seven get lost in the woods and they unleash their various passions, from verbal to carnal, though naturally we're a big fan of the latter! In one of the film's more bizarre scenes, the Canadian and German leaders hook up in the woods and we get a nice shot of Roy Dupuis' bare ass as he pulls off a condom and pulls up his underwear! The Rumours are true... democracy got fucked in the woods!
