Mayor of Kingstown (2021)

Taylor Sheridan—the man behind Hell or High Water (2016), Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021), and the hit series Yellowstone—reunites with his Wind River (2017) leading man Jeremy Renner for the Paramount+ Original Series Mayor of Kingstown, which debuted in the fall of 2021. Kyle Chandler stars as Mitch, the titular unofficial city official whose business run with his recently sprung from prison brother Mike (Renner) finds them walking the lines between legal and illegal from which the police shy away. They are the last line of defense between law and disorder in the titular Michigan town, or at least that's the way they see it. Mike and Mitch also have a brother, Kyle (Taylor Handley), who is an actual cop, and caught in the middle of the three of them is their mother Mariam (Dianne Wiest) who sides with the law abiding Kyle over her two more criminally prone sons Mike and Mitch. The series digs into the small town politics of law vs crime and how even the smallest towns in America can fall victim to a criminal element that can never be dealt with by any conventional means, and the wake of destruction it leaves in its path to domination, which is most greatly felt among the poor population. The aptly named Billy Lush brought the first nudity in the show's first season, briefly baring his buns as he showers off while being admitted to prison in episode three! Sure, it's not the sexiest scene ever put on television, but hopefully it's a harbinger of skinsational things to come!
