Without the family jewels on Melvin van Peebles, offspring Mario Van Peebles, Marley Van Peebles and Mandela Van Peebles wouldn’t have entered the entertainment industry. Nor would fans have been treated to the patriarch’s provocative pics. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, the Chicago native traveled throughout the US, Mexico, and Europe. Once he was back in the States, Melvin wrote and directed the films The Story of a Three-Day Pass (1967) and Watermelon Man (1970). The drama showcases Melvin’s writing, directing, co-producing, editing, scoring and acting skills. Suffice it to say, the flick highlights his bulging… talent! As a male prostitute who saves a Black Panther from the police, Melvin exposes his acting chops as well as his chest, pubes, and balls! The skintastic stud also reveals his rump during an un-simulated hump! If that’s not arousing enough, Mr. van Peebles takes off his strap-on to reveal his van Penis! The R-rated release made such an impact, it launched the blaxploitation movie genre. Later, the ebony actor popped up in Redemption Road (2010), We the Party (2012) and Armed (2018) directed by son Mario. In addition to being a filmmaker, Melvin served as a member of the U.S. Air Force, a portrait painter, French novelist, postal worker, street performer, and editor-in-chief at Mad magazine!
