Last week’s Doctor Who episode featuring sexy stage and screen star Jonathan Groff has Man Central gagged in a way we haven’t felt since John Barrowman had us sporting some serious Torchwood!
The sci-fi series made headlines thanks to a romantic gay kiss between Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th Doctor and Groff, who played a bounty hunter called Rogue tracking aliens in Regency Era Bath, England.

The last time (and previously only time) there had been a gay kiss on Doctor Who was when Barrowman’s Captain Jack Harkness planted a goodbye smooch on Chris Eccleston’s 9th Doctor when the series was revived by Russell T. Davies in 2005. The two characters weren’t romantically involved though (unless you count fan fiction that is surely out there), whereas the sexual tension between Jonathan and Ncuti was palpable throughout the entire episode.

The two were heavily flirting and though the kiss came while they were purposely causing a scene to get the attention of some murderous shapeshifters, the feelings behind it were definitely real, as confirmed by Davies, who has been reported as saying the Doctor is indeed “in love.” Swoon! The duo’s amazing chemistry could be attributed to the fact that both are out gay actors, with theSex Education star officially making history as the first black queer actor to play The Doctor.

But Jonathan is not the first smokin’ hottie, gay or otherwise, to guest star on the series, and he’s for sure not the first one with nudity under their belt either. Just the week before, in the Black Mirror-esque episode titled “Dot and Bubble,” we saw superfine Welshman Tom Rhys Harrieess playing a social media influencer who was very Allon-easy on the eyes. And after revisiting his bare ass in White Lines, that’s not a sonic screwdriver in our pocket, we’re just happy to see him naked!
