Paul Cook made a name for himself as the dependable, time-keeping drummer for the groundbreaking punk rock band the Sex Pistols. While lead singer Johnny Rotten took the brunt of the abuse from their raucous fans and curious gawkers, Paul quietly drummed away with the fury and passion needed to keep such a chaotic band in check on stage and in the studio. But once the Pistols unexpectedly broke up in San Francisco in 1978, Cook meandered about musically with bandmate Steve Jones, recording a handful of songs, trying to regain the former glory he enjoyed as a Pistol. Outside of the studio, Paul wowed his fans when he made a foray into films, appearing in the Julien Temple directed film The Great Rock ‘n’ Swindle (1980). While showing off his drumming abilities, Paul took the time to show off his drumstick and butt as he and his band buddies went for a skinny dip on a Brazilian beach.
