Scottish actors Ewan McGregor, James McAvoy, Iain Glen, Tommy Flanagan, and Alex Ferns are living proof that there must be something special in their homeland’s water to produce such fine fellows. How else can you explain the deluge of sexy Scots satisfying fans by strutting their stuff on screen? Of course, we must add Paul Telfer to this list. As brainy as he is beautiful, the Paisley native graduated with First Class honors in Film Studies from England’s University of Kent at Canterbury. Since then, the UK babe has been landing parts on both sides of the pond. After making his boob tube debut in the TV movie Is Harry on the Boat? (2002), the busy bloke guest starred on the British show Mile High and played the Celtic slave Gannicus in the miniseries Spartacus in 2004. Telfer was then cast in the title role of the pec-tacular saga Hercules (2005) with Elizabeth Perkins, Sean Astin, Timothy Dalton, and Leelee Sobieski. After rubbing shoulders with that cast, we wanted to rub Paul! Recurring roles on English (Hotel Babylon) and American (NCIS, The Vampire Diaries) hits followed. Nowadays, Paul plays Xander Kiriakis on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives (2015-present). Yet we’re more turned on by Telfer’s turn in Miss Conception (2008).
