Iconic actor, producer, director Robert Duvall has passed away Sunday at the age of ninety-five, and the world has lost yet another Hollywood mainstay with a history of great nudity.

Robert kicked off his career on the small screen in 1959, but he eventually became known as a big screen heavyweight, especially after his Oscar-nominated performance as consigliere Tom Hagen in 1973’s The Godfather.
But two years before that noteworthy role, a bald and bare Robert showed off his rump for the first time in the George Lucas-directed sci-fi THX 1138.

He’d go on to receive seven total Academy Award nominations throughout his career, winning once for 1984’s Tender Mercies. None would be for his nude roles though, most of which happened in his 60s.
The 1990s was a decade of derriere for Duvall, starting with 1993’s Wrestling Ernest Hemingway. Seeing Robert and costar Richard Harris bobbing their bare butts in the water while skinny-dipping had audiences wrestling with themselves!

Then two years later, Robert’s rear end returned in the feature film adaptation of The Scarlet Letter. Looks like the scarlet A in the film really stood for Ass!

Robert’s final flash of fanny occurred in 1996, when he mooned John Travolta and Kyra Sedgwick in the telekinetic romance Phenomenon.
