Accomplished actor Robert Beltran trained in theater arts in the late 1970’s, and has landed role after role ever since. We wonder if it has anything to do with his dashing looks! Originally active in theater, Beltran branched out into film with 1981’s Zoot Suit, and quickly went on to nab parts in movies like Lone Wolf McQuade (1983), Night of the Comet (1984), Latino (1985), Slam Dance (1987), and Forbidden Sun (1988). In 1989, the Zoot Suit star was a laugh riot in Scenes From the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills (1989). It's a comedy about a houseboy and chauffeur both competing to bed each other's employers. Our money's on Mr. Beltran, especially after seeing his body as he gets a sensual massage from Ray Sharkey. Class? Not touching that ass is the real struggle! At the same time that Robert was killing it on the big screen, the self-described “Latindio” (he’s of Mexican-Native American heritage), was getting his thespian on with involvement in the California Shakespeare Festival and the LA Theater Center. Although he was one of the Watergate burglars in Nixon (1995), Robert will likely forever best be known as the Starfleet Officer with Native American roots Commander Chakotay on Star Trek: Voyager. The silver fox’s career has stayed strong well into the 2000’s, as he had a reoccurring role as the Native American businessman trying to get a casino built, Jerry Flute on Big Love and guest spots on popular fair such as Medium and CSI: Miami. Most recently Robert reprised his role in Star Trek: Prodigy. Star Trek's great but we need the good stuff again. We want to unbuckle our belt for Robert Beltran!
