Shelley Byrd is the husband of iconic 70s NYC figure Robin Byrd, who rose to stardom with her own cable-access show. She preached sex and body positivity before they were buzzwords, and her fascinating life gets a doc treatment with HBO's Bang My Box: The Robin Byrd Story. In the doc Robin and Shelley visit the place where they met, Fire Island, for their 50th anniversary. Shelley was an art director in his heyday, and he and Robyn shared some wild times together.
