An ATF agent has to team with gun runners when his own partner betrays him in the action thriller Shelter (1998). Directed by Scott Paulin, who you might remember as the jerky drama teacher demanding Scott transform to take part in the school play in Teen Wolf (1985), the film stars Josh Allen Nelson as ATF Agent Martin Roberts. Martin's a by the books guy, which explains why his crooked partner Landis (Charles Durning) tries to have him killed before he can spill the beans on all his schemes. Since Landis is more senior, more liked, and backed up by more ATF members, Martin knows there's nobody in government he can turn to for help. Wtf, ATF? Instead, he hooks up with Arkansas' Greek Mafia, who he had previously been trying to put away, promising he'll give them immunity once he proves what's going on. As if that wasn't perilous enough, along the way Martin will fall in love with the Mafia leader's (Kurtwood Smith) wife (Brenda Bakke). With the government hot on his heels and the Mafia man getting suspicious about all that time Martin spends with his wife, our ATF Agent had better not slip up. He could slip into something more comfortable, though. That would be fine. We do get to see John Allen Nelson's buns when he strips down to have a wound tended to. He's bleeding a bit, but his six-pack abs, popping pecs and tight butt will have you begging to kiss the boo-boo! All Mr. Man needs in life is food, water, and a dude who looks like Martin Roberts in Shelter!
