These films from the 2010s came at the right time. Gay scenes were becoming more prominent in cinema and by the 2010s we got to see authentic queer stories that were really good and really sexy. Here are some of those 2010s gay movies that you have to see:
Weekend
Andrew Haigh's 2011 debut film was a tender and sweet story about two men who hook up one weekend. Tom Cullen and Chris New are new to us and to each other when we watch them get nude together and make sweet love in a hotel room. The simple film was critically acclaimed for its simplicity: one man picks up the other at a bar and they spend a weekend together in a hotel.
It's sweet, sexy and inspires all of us to want to go on a Weekend away like this. Oh, and there's a really sexy shot of cum puddling on a man's stomach.
Holding the Man
Tom Conigrave wrote a memoir about falling in and out and back in love again in the tumultuous 1980s. His 1995 memoir was finally adapted into a film in 2015 in which the author tells the story of his long relationship with John Caleo.
