It featured films from directors Leos Carax, Luc Bresson, and Jean-Jacque Beineix who all went on to become quite famous in France and in Hollywood. The words Cinema Du Look mean "cinema of the look" as these films specialized in aesthetics rather than storytelling. These 80s and 90s films are style over substance.
