Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: ghosts!
Ghosts are a classic of the horror genre - so much so that ghosts have been scaring humans for centuries. Since ghosts are the most common paranormal activity seen around the world throughout history, then I thought it would be perfect to highlight sexy ghosts this Halloween.
The Lodgers
This gothic horror is set in rural Ireland in the 1920s and it is about two siblings - twins - who live in their family's old manor house where they cannot let visitors into the house and they must be in bed by midnight. Eerie! That sounds like the setup for a haunting film! You guessed it: there are things that roam the house at night. Some of those things include Eugene Simon as a ghost with a plump rump.
A Haunted House
Much like the comedy horror film Scary Movie, Marlon Wayans aimed to make fun of another popular horror movie genre: found footage and haunted house films. Marlon can haunt us with images of his ass any day of the week. He might be making fun of paranormal activity, but we are loving his nude activity.
1st Summoning
The plot of this indie horror film may sound familiar as it is the core of so many ghost films: student filmmakers document strange paranormal activity rumored to have been happening in a locally famous abandoned building. When they go there, they find paranormal activity and more. They also find fully naked men like Bill Pacer who walks down the hall in the buff. His cock was summoned out of his pants!
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
The original Conjuring does not have nudity in it, so we were thrilled when one of the sequels finally gave us a nude scene. Praise the ghosts who possess these movies! Jay Peterson plays a character who comes back to life in the morgue when he is being checked out. He's a big guy, billed only as The Linebacker, who has a big burly body and a beautiful butt. Did the devil make him take off his clothes? Thank you, devil!
Ghost
I would be remiss if I did not include the sexy classic Ghost in this list. No, there is no nudity in Ghost, but the men go shirtless and they are fit. Patrick Swayze became the object of everyone's affection when he took it all off in this sexy scene that has been burned into our spooky spank banks.
