Ghost (1990)

Ghost (1990) evokes Unchained Melody and pottery wheels, Demi Moore's pixie cut and Whoopi Goldberg's oscar win. But it's worth revisiting especially for its immortalization of the late Patrick Swayze at his most glistening in two scrumptious shirtless scenes. Swayze plays Sam Wheat whose murder leaves him roaming through his old life as a powerless spirit until he summons the help of a medium to make his presence known and protect his girl from the same man who killed him. Right of the bat, about three minutes in, he and Tony Goldwyn both put all other shirtless construction workers to shame, as they sweat in white slacks and sledgehammer their way through a wall, accompanied by Demi Moore. Later he and Demi show romantic co-stars for generations to come how a kissing scene is really done with Swayze's abs getting the close up treatment as her fingers run up and down his taut torso. Not to be outdone, Tony gets one more shirtless go at it, spilling coffee on himself intentionally just so he can flex for a still grieving Demi. She stops it from going further, saying it's "too soon." But it's never too soon to revisit this hunk fest and cherish the memories for life!
