Sunny (2024)

Sunny is a black comedy series that debuted on Apple TV+ in the summer of 2024 and stars Rashida Jones as Suzie, an American woman living in Japan with her robotics engineer husband Masahiko (Hidetoshi Nishijima). However, when her husband and son mysteriously vanish in a plane crash, her husband's company presents Suzie with Sunny (Joanna Sotomura) a domestic robot that her husband had invented before his disappearance. However, Suzie's mother was killed by a self driving car, leading her to initially distrust Sunny, but when Sunny begins to mimic her husband's behavior, she begins to wonder just how much of himself he put into this robot! We'll be honest, we weren't expecting any nudity on this show, but got quite a surprise in episode four when Daigo Tanji bares his butt in a bathhouse. Sure, a Yakuza boss beats him to death, but at least we get some bare buns in the bargain!
